Had 32 receptions for 452 yards and nine TDs. Also returned 11 punts for a district-leading 293 yards and three TDs.

Monte Green-Avery was a key member of Cuero's football and basketball teams, and brought home medals in track and field for multiple years.
Of more than 4,000 votes cast in a poll over six days, the Cuero senior was selected by people in the Crossroads as the Victoria Advocate's 2011 male athlete of the year.
What do you like most about athletics and sports?
If you're an athlete, there's nothing like sports. That's something you have to do. If you're not doing sports, then I don't know what's wrong with you.
How was your senior year?
I think I finished my senior year off pretty good. I accomplished a bunch of different things all through my sports. I'm satisfied with what I did my senior year.
Why did you choose to play football in college?
I kind of knew from the get go that football was what I was going to end up playing. It was between track and football. Football is the sport I'd rather play.
What is the next step and why?
When I went there, they were talking about how everything is based on family. I want to be able to be around people who have my back and just have a family up there.
Who are some of the people responsible for your success?
God, first of all. My family, my parents for all the support. My coaches for helping me to get where I am.
What drives you to be successful?
My parents drive me to do better and be better and be something. I think that's why I'm going to Abilene to get my education. Hopefully, I can do something in football and go to the next level in college.
